As a Senior Data Engineer in the Engineering Team at Spacetoon GO, you will play a crucial role in managing and optimizing our data infrastructure to support our data products and enable data-driven decision-making.

Key Accountabilities:

1. Manage the data infrastructure required to service data products.

2. Collaborate closely with our data science, business analytics, and product teams to provide insights and support in creating the best architecture for our data products.

3. Develop and maintain data pipelines and self-service data tooling.

4. Ensure a consistent flow of high-quality data into our environment using stream, batch, database, and API integrations.

5. Create analytics engineering workflows using the most suitable tools for the purpose.

6. Maintain a large, multi-terabyte data lake and data warehouse, including performance tuning and data retention processes.

7. Optimize query performance to enhance data load, materialization, and transformation times.

8. Curate datasets to enable business users to self-service.

9. Champion data quality, integrity, and reliability by designing and promoting best practices.

10. Ensure data accuracy and quality by establishing a "single version of the truth" and maintaining appropriate documentation.

11. Collaborate and communicate effectively with stakeholders to deliver solutions.

12. Share knowledge and best practices to improve processes.

Qualifications, Experience, And Skills:

To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and skills:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.

- Experience with event processing and streaming technologies such as Clickhouse, Kafka, Cassandra, RabbitMQ, Elastic Search, and Databricks.

- Strong experience in setting up Data lakehouses, Data lakes, and Data warehouses.

- Proficiency in building and maintaining ETL and data pipelines using tools like airbyte, rudderstack, dagster, Talend, and similar platforms.

- Ability to ensure data sanity and quality using tools like Great Expectations, Iteratively, Monte Carlo, Ataccama, precisely, DataHub, and Amundsen.

- Experience in setting up and advancing BI tools such as Metabase, MS Power BI, Mode, Looker, Sisense/Periscope Data, Domo, Hex, and Superset.
